Problem

Real estate agents often spend 8–15 hours preparing a listing before earning a commission. In an industry where speed drives sales and client satisfaction, fragmented tools and manual workflows slowed agents down and made the process more difficult than it needed to be

My Role & Project Overview

Objective is to create a simple AI-powered platform designed to help real estate agents create better listings, market properties faster and manage leads more efficiently. As part of a three-person UX team, I contributed equally to research and design activities, including user interviews, affinity mapping, card sorting, user flows, wireframing, and usability testing.

Discovery

What does a user actually go through?

During the discovery phase, our three-person team worked collaboratively to review and analyze documents provided by the client. These insights shaped our goal of designing a more intuitive and efficient experience.

Time-Consuming Workflow

Persona

To better understand the daily challenges faced by real estate agents, our team split interview participants and conducted user research independently. I led interviews, analyzed findings through affinity mapping and card sorting and uncovered opportunities to simplify listing creation and lead management.

Design Approach

These insights informed key design decisions and helped shape an AI-powered platform that enables agents to market properties faster and work more efficiently.

Automate Prep Checklists Instantly

Transform property walkthroughs into comprehensive, prioritized task lists in seconds—not hours.

AI-Powered Recommendations

Receive intelligent staging and repair suggestions backed by market data and ROI analysis.

Professional, Data Presentations

Generate polished, evidence-based listing proposals that justify pricing and win seller confidence.

Faster Contract-to-Listing Time

Compress the timeline from signed contract to market-ready listing —getting properties online faster.

Affinity Mapping

Through user interviews, research synthesis, affinity mapping and collaborative design workshops, we identified opportunities to create a simpler, AI-powered platform

Framing the Challenge with POV & HMW

POVs

Real estate agents need a more efficient way to virtually stage their empty properties because current tools take too much time in their workflow.

HMWs

How might we use AI to instantly generate listing-ready outputs (staging, descriptions, visuals) with minimal input from agents?

User Flow and Task Flow

We split the feature set across our team, mapping user flows and task flows for each area. By bringing our work together, we identified connections between features and created a unified product experience.

Style Guide

Each team member explored a different color palette and typography direction. We then reviewed the options together, discussed their strengths and voted on the approach that best aligned with the project's goals before selecting the final style guide.

Key Learnings & Reflections

Key Learnings & Reflections

One of the main challenges was balancing advanced AI features with a simple and easy-to-use experience, while also deciding which features would deliver the most value at launch. This process taught me the importance of prioritizing user needs and designing solutions based on real user behavior rather than adding unnecessary complexity.

Outcome & Reflection

Working on the ListReady.ai capstone project with the product owner, Cameron, was a learning experience that allowed me to turn complex AI technology into a simple, professional tool. Through constant brainstorming and feedback, I leveled up my skills in UX research and problem-solving, learning how to present design decisions that balance user needs with business goals.

This project taught me that when designing for professionals, building trust through simplicity is the most important factor. Ultimately, I am proud to have created a "One-Stop Shop" that respects an agent’s time and helps them focus on what they do best: selling homes.

What Client Said

What Client Said

The final high-fidelity wireframes deliver a clean, intuitive, and user-friendly experience with clear structure and smooth navigation. Feedback sessions with the client showed that the designs aligned well with business goals and user needs. The client responded positively to the simplified workflow and overall usability, leading to several designs being implemented live on the platform.
